The High Country's Largest 5K + 10K Race

High Country Turkey Trot

We are back on the Boone Greenway Trail for the 14th Annual High Country Turkey Trot!

 

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

 

This year's edition adds a 10K Trail Race and will feature NEW course designs and NEW swag!

NEW For 2024, we're offering three options!

Choose from a 5K or 10K Timed Trail Race or an untimed 5K Fun Run/Walk.

The 5K and 10K trail races will take you on a scenic trip through the woods via The Greenway and Kennedy Trails.

The Fun Run/Walk 5K will utilize all paved trails throughout the park. 

Trying to make sure you definitely earn your turkey dinner later on? Step up to the 10K! We've locked in 6.2 miles of hills, switch backs, and some flat terrain!

The untimed 5K Fun Run/Walk will take advantage of the paved trails throughout the park ensuring a smooth and enjoyable morning!

Also NEW for 2024, all finishers will receive a custom High Country Turkey Trot finisher medal with additional custom swag on the line for age group and overall winners! (stay tuned for reveals...) In addition to custom swag, overall M/F winners of the 5K and 10K will receive a fresh pumpkin pie from Stick Boy Bread Company!

All participants are asked to bring non-perishable boxes or canned food items!

The High Country Turkey Trot is LARGEST 5K & 10K in the High Country.

Join the fun on Thanksgiving morning 2024!

Onsite Registration Begins 7:00 a.m.
The 10K Race starts PROMPTLY at 8:30 a.m.
The 5K Race starts PROMPTLY at 9:00 a.m.

Please allow a MINIMUM of 30 MINUTES to park and arrive at the race start.
