Interning in a Pandemic

I interned at the Hospitality House during the COVID-19 pandemic as a COVID-19 liaison. A lot of my job was telling clients to put their mask on, but even through that barrier I was still able to make connections with our clients and learn about their circumstances and goals. I would highly recommend anyone to spend some time volunteering, interning, or working here to take time to talk to our clients and you'll realize how great the community that we serve is.

Hospitality House, a regional nonprofit transitional living facility and crisis assistance resource center, serves seven rural North Carolina counties (Watauga, Wilkes, Ashe, Avery, Alleghany, Mitchell, and Yancey) providing housing, prevention, and nutrition.
